To our valued friends of the Music House Museum,

To our valued MHM friends,

UPDATE: Per our Governor’s direction on the current COVID-19 situation The Music House Museum will be temporarily closed through at least April 13th. All events & tours during this time (including S’Wonderful on April 4th) will be cancelled &/or rescheduled at a later date. Please continue to check our website www.musichouse.org or our Facebook page for further information & updates. Thank you!

When we resume, please know that the health and safety of our guests and staff is always our highest priority.
As the Corona virus (COVID-19) continues to spread throughout the country, we are following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and wanted to share some of the actions we are taking to help protect both you upon your future visit, as well as our most valuable resource, our employees. We have increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitization in all our galleries and behind the scenes to help decrease the possible spread of any contaminant. If team members need to be absent from work due to illness, we will be supportive of their health and welfare.

Our steps include the following:

Good infection prevention centers around good sanitizing procedures will be followed by all staff and volunteers throughout the building at all times. These are intensive efforts, but necessary to protect our guests and ourselves. Specifically:

  • Mandatory thorough wiping down of all surfaces at the beginning of the day and after exposure to guests or staff (keyboards, phones, counter tops, instruments that guests might be invited to play, door handles and knobs, light switches, etc….).
  • Mandatory washing of hands using soap or hand sanitizer:  upon entering the Museum, upon sneezing or coughing, exposure to a potentially un-cleaned surface or other equipment.
  • Guests will have hand sanitizer and tissues available to them with convenient closed waste containers to use throughout the Museum.

Please know that as ongoing decisions are made, they will be implemented with our guests, employees, and our community as our first priority. Please continue to check our Facebook page and Web Site for Further information.

Thank you,

Timothy Keaton
