Tom Kaufmann working with students

One of our favorite programs at the Music House Museum is our School Days: The Science of Sound. This fun and educational program is led by the amazing Tom Kaufmann. 3rd – 5th grade students come from near and far to learn about the science of sound and history.
Because of school budget cuts, programs like ours are harder and harder for teachers to afford. With the help from generous donors and grant funding, we are able to offer transportation scholarships and admission scholarships which many of our schools take advantage of. We are so grateful to our donors for allowing it to be possible for many of these students to experience the wonderful program!
The program includes so much hands on fun that the kids don’t realize how much they are learning.
Here are some photos and a short video that was put together by teachers from Boyne Fall’s with high lights of their visit:

As a special treat this year Red Wings Organist Dave Calendine accompanied the silent film!
