The Music House Museum is proud to present three Charlie Chaplin Shorts, “The Rink”, “A Day’s Pleasure” and “The Idle Class”, accompanied by Interlochen Arts Academy Staff Pianist, Steve Larson at 7:00PM on Friday June 23

After causing restaurant chaos at work, a bumbling waiter tears up the local roller rink with his skating in Charlie Chaplin’s 1916 film, “The Rink. Chaplin’s 1919 “A Day’s Pleasure” is about a day outing with his wife and the kids where things do not go smoothly. In 1921’s “The Idle Class, Chaplin plays both a rich gentleman and a poor tramp. Both find themselves in paradoxical situations where one is confused with the other.

These three Charlie Chaplin shorts will be accompanied by long-time Music House contributor, Interlochen pianist Steve Larson on our nine-foot Baldwin Grand Piano at 7:00 PM on Friday June 23.

Steve Larson has played in recitals and chamber music festivals throughout the Midwest including the Absolutely Amadeus festival, the Manitou Music Festival and Chamber Music North. As a dance accompanist, Mr. Larson served as company pianist for the Milwaukee Ballet and has played for Minnesota Dance Theater, Alaska Dance Theater, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Ballet Hispanico and others.
