The Music House is thrilled to welcome back two of our favorite performers, Miriam Pico and David Chown, for a very special concert and Music House fundraiser! You will not want to miss this May 26th performance.

The accolades for these two northern Michigan artists could go on and on.

Miriam is a local legend who has been chosen multiple times by area voters as Northern Express’ “Best Solo Artist” and Traverse Magazine’s “Red Hot Best Singer/Songwriter” .  Here are just of few of her reviews:

  • “Miriam seamlessly blends pop, jazz and country sensibilities to createa very personal and emotive style of her own. I love it!!! Imagine Stevie, Patsy and George Gershwin through a kaleidescope of Beyonce, Carrie and Norah…that’s our Miriam!” -Jeff Haas, host of NPR’s The New Jazz Archive, Musician
  • “I’ve listened to Miriam Pico many times and watched her perform her own music on several occasions. Miriam never fails to enlarge and illuminate a room. She’s a giver to the core andher music is wondrously capable of raising the joy quotient in the atmosphere around her. She radiates what it means to be a working, giving artist.” -Michael Delp, Author
  • “Miriam Pico has a voice and style so beautiful, it makes you think of the greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Judy Garland. But add to that, Miriam’s own warmth, charm and great personal songs, and you know that you’re hearing one of our generations’ greats.” -Gregory Leifel, Executive Director, The Sanfilippo Foundation, Barrington, IL.

David is known locally and nationally for his amazing piano playing. He is a performer and educator with a degree in Piano and Jazz Studies. He is the owner of LookOut Music Productions where he teaches and records and David also is an instructor NMC. With more than 25 years of professional performance, his skills are truly breathtaking.

When you combine these two gifted artists they create magic. You do not want to miss this concert which will be filled with classics and originals. Tickets for this fundraiser are $35 and seating is limited so you will want to reserve your spot early!
