Our 2017 Silent Film Series begins this Saturday, June 10th, with Son of the Sheik starring Rudolph Valentino with accompaniment by Interlochen Arts Academy pianist Steve Larson! This is the first of the Music House’s series which runs through December and offers the experience of these classic film the way they were intended to be enjoyed.

This was Valentino’s final film, considered by many critics his best. He plays the son of the Sheik who falls in love with the wrong woman and finds himself held for ransom by a den of Moorish thieves. This great classic film contains all of the elements that made Valentino a star; romance, intrigue, action and, of course, those eyes.

Steve Larson is an IAA staff pianist and organist at Grace Episcopal Church, with a long career of professional performance, composition and silent film scoring. He can also claim the very talented Katie Lawson of The Accidentals as his daughter.

Showings will be at 5:30 and 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and $5 for students. For more information and to purchase tickets use the buttons above.
