The Music House is proud to introduce Timothy Keaton as their Executive Director. Keaton comes to the museum with decades of leadership in corporate and non-profit marketing, strategy development and management.

“The MHM Board is very pleased to be working with Mr. Keaton.  We feel his past as well as current work experiences and contacts will help our organization grow not only financially but will enable us to increase the number of patrons who come to enjoy unique musical experiences” said Dorothy Clore, President Music House Museum Board of Directors. 

Keaton’s work has included national brands in the automotive, healthcare, durable household and consumer packaged goods categories, including for GM/Chevrolet, Kaiser- Permanente, Whirlpool, Burger King and Kellogg’s. Locally it includes work with Blustone Vineyards, Great Lakes Potato Chips and Brys Estate. He also has broad Development/Fundraising experience for several non-profits on both a professional and volunteer basis, including the United Way of SE Michigan, Christ Child House and Brother Rice High School.

“I have been coming to this beautiful part of northern Michigan for most of my life and a few years ago, together with my family, made the decision to settle full-time in the Traverse City area. I am very excited about this position, as I have been looking for a role that will allow me to leverage my professional experience to help grow an organization by giving our visitors the opportunity to make a special connection to the enduring magic of music and having a memorable experience that is unique to our region” said Timothy Keaton, Executive Director.
